Day 01: Arrival Paro

After arriving & visa formalities and collection of baggage, you will be welcomed by our tour representative who will be your tour guide during your entire trip in Bhutan.

Check into your hotel in Paro. Free until lunch time for some rest from early morning flight, refreshment and lunch.

Afternoon, you may choose to visit any or all of following places:-

Ta Dzong (National Museum of Bhutan) housed inside the six storied circular Ta Dzong. The Ta Dzong is a medieval watch tower situated above the RimpungDzong. The ParoDzong is probably Bhutan’s best known and most iconic Dzong. This is probably the first building you will notice when you land at Paro International Airport and will probably be your first memory of Bhutan

Day 2: Paro- Punakha

Early morning after your breakfast you will be driven to Punakha. We will stop over for tea at Dochula Pass (3,100 m), where on a sunny day, you can get stunning views of the Himalayan ranges. On a clear day the pass offers visitors a spectacular view of the majestic eastern Himalayan Ranges. Then we will drive towards Punakha and visit PunakhaDzongor the PungtangDechenPhortangDzong is located at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and the Po Chhu River, combine to form the Puna Tsang Chu which in turn is a tributary of the mighty Brahmaputra River. Later in the evening you can explore local market of Punakha.

Day 3: Punakha

After breakfast visit Punakha Suspension Bridge is located very much near to the Punakha Dzong and is the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan built above the Po Chu River. The bridge is broad and built in a very nice way and you will be amazed to see that it doesn’t shake so much which can cause a sudden amount of panic among the tourists. The bridge also connects to the nearby villages. There are mountains surrounding the bridge from all the sides which also gives a breathtaking view. 

The ChimiLhakang

The ChimelLhakang is a Bhuddhist monastery located in the Punakha District of Bhutan. The monastery stands on a small hill close to the village of Lobesa and was constructed in 1499 by NgawangChoegyel, the 14thDrukpaheirarch.

SangchhenDorjiLhuendrupLhakhang Nunnery 
Perched on a ridge amid pine trees and overlooking valleys of Punakha and Wangduephodrang, gleams the magnificent structures of SangchhenDorjiLhuendrupLhakhang(Temple). The temple houses a 14-foot main bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrigzigchagtongchentong). Other statues include those of Guru Padmasambawa, Gautama Buddha, ZhabdrungNgawangNamgyel, TselaNamsum, the 21 Taras and Tsepamay (Buddha of longevity). The Avalokiteshvara statue, one of the biggest in the country, was the handiwork of entirely local Bhutanese artisans.   
The temple complex also houses a permanent higher learning and meditation centre for nuns where, apart from religious trainings, it provides life skill training such as tailoring, embroidery, statue making and thangkapainting.

KhamsumYulleyNamgyalChorten
A beautiful hike takes one to the regal KhamsumYuelleyNamgelChorten, which was built to remove negative forces and promote peace, stability and harmony in the changing world. The Chorten dominates the upper Punakha Valley with commanding views across the Mo Chhu and up towards the mountainous peaks of Gasa and beyond.

Day 4: Punakha – Paro

After Breakfast

Drive to Paro and visit, Druk Choeding

also known as TshongdoeNaktshang. In the temple, visitors will find a statue of the Future Buddha known as Jampa in the seated position.

After that visitThe DumtseLhakhang Temple is located just north of the city of Paro. The DumtseLhabhang temple is very unique in its design as it’s designed like a Chorten (Stupa), which is highly unlike any guide other Lhakhang / temple in Bhutan. In the evening you can explore Paro local market.

Day 5: Paro

After breakfast, drive to the foot of the Taktshang Monastery or Tiger’s Nest cliff before walking up hill for 2 hours to reach this monastery, giddily perched on a sheer 800m rock face. Taktshang means ‘Tiger’s Nest’ as legend has it that Guru Padmasambhava flew to this spot on the back of a tigress in the eight century. He meditated here making this temple a sacred pilgrimage destination for Buddhists. The trip to and fro takes 4 hours. After the hike, visit one of the oldest landmarks in Bhutan. The 7th century KyichuLhakhang was one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, SongtsenGembo. It is revered as one of the most holy shrines in Bhutan and embodies the arrival of Buddhism here.

Day 6: Departure

In the morning after early breakfast we will see you off at the Paro Airport for your onward destinations.  Good Luck!

✅ Bhutan visa is pre-process by our company we need to have your passport copy by scan on our e-mail. We will send you electronic visa mail. You need to print and carry in order to fly to Bhutan at immigration authorities will stamp on your passport.
